I serve on the Media Committee for Surfrider Foundation: Pacific Rim Chapter. During my time there, I have produced Surfrider Foundation Canada's Rise Above Plastics Campaign Toolkit; I designed the Ocean Friendly Camper Guide; I created Surfrider Foundation Pacific Rim's 2020 & 2021 Annual Report; I produced event posters for their 2021 beach cleans; I have consulted on best practices for the chapter's website, and I have produced various social media posts.
RISE ABOVE PLASTICS
TOOLKIT 2020
This toolkit is a guide for Surfrider Foundation Canada's Rise Above Plastics program. The guide helps individuals consider various ways they can respond to plastic pollution in their own communities.
I worked alongside the Regional Coordinator and Chapter Coordinator to produce Surfrider Foundation Canada's Rise Above Plastics Toolkit. I was the lead for graphic design and layout design, and I assisted the team with copywriting and copyediting. You can find the toolkit on Surfrider Pacific Rim's Resources page.
SURFRIDER PACIFIC RIM
2020 ANNUAL REPORT
I worked alongside the Regional Coordinator and Chapter Coordinator to produce Surfrider Foundation Pacific Rim's 2020 Annual Report. This report covers the highlights of 2020, the goals for 2021, our sponsors and partners, and the various campaigns and programs that are in need of volunteer contribution. I was the lead for graphic design and layout design, and I assisted the team with copywriting and copyediting. Photography by Nicole Holman.
FLASH CLEAN FRIDAYS
EVENT POSTER
During COVID-19, Surfrider Foundation Pacific Rim organized socially distanced beach cleanups on Fridays through Summer and Fall 2020.
I was in charge of designing print and digital posters to post around Tofino, British Columbia with a schedule and further details.
