

ABOUT KYLIE
I am a filmmaker, media designer, and communications specialist. I am currently an Assistant Professor (Teaching Stream) in ICCIT at the University of Toronto.
My work focuses on the interplay between academic research and creative practice, storytelling, digital media production, information visualization and emerging technologies. I have a particular passion for environmental conservation efforts.
I have collaborated with organizations including the Sequoia Parks Conservancy, Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, Surfrider Foundation Canada, OCAD University, and the Canadian Film Centre Media Lab (CFC).
My directorial work has been featured at festivals including Hot Docs International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, Planet in Focus Film Festival, and FIVARS, as well as publications including the LA Times, CBC's Radio-Canada, Environmental Communication and Intellect Books.
I received my Master of Fine Arts in Digital Futures from OCAD University and my Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin.
