Plants vs Kylie is a program to remind Kylie when her plants are thirsty! Through physical computing, Kylie’s plants remind her when they need water via an animated avatar on the web, as well as a notification on her phone. Using soil moisture sensors, Kylie can evaluate if her plants are happy (less than 40 % dry) or thirsty (40% dry or more). Through the anthropomorphization of plants, perhaps Kylie will feel greater kinship to the health and happiness of her fellow organisms.
